Hello:
Sorry if this is not the right place to post a question. I kept looking for it under Pages Questions, but could not find it.
I just posted this as well at the Yuku site, but I would love some information on how to select a tailpiece with built-in tuners. I have heard the Akoustic is popular and works well for many. There is also the Pusch in rosewood and ebony. Also, Bois d’harmony in boxwood.
What are the factors to take into consideration? How does weight affect the vibration and sound? My personal bias has been against plastic in general, but perhaps when it comes to tailpieces I need to reconsider this position.
Thank you very much.
Eugenie
Hi Eugenie,
It’s not a perfect situation–this is fine. For others, you can post questions at the “QUESTIONS” page. Just add your question to the bottom of the page as a new “comment”.
I’ll ask Ron about tailpieces..stay tuned!
