Greg Heffernan, otherwise known as Cosmo D, is looking to upgrade his cello. Last week he convened a cello play-off at a local club in Brooklyn called Cafe Barbes. So I journey west to Cleveland, Ohio for a solo concert at the Cleveland Museum of Art. I opted for Amtrak as I could take the cello without worrying about its welfare and there was no price jump to bring it.

I venture into Queens to visit a colleague who has a Luis & Clark carbon fiber cello that she will let me try out. Of course I stop off and have some of the best food in the area..amazing!
